1 Description American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist proficient in multiple specialties for a hospital operating room position. Details Hospital surgery unit supporting multiple specialties including total joint/trauma, neuro spine, vascular, and robotics 8-hour shifts from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, 40 hours per week Requirements High School Education/GED or equivalent required Minimum of 3 years of OR experience required Recent experience in the specialty within the last 3 months required CST certification preferred, license required if applicable BLS certification from an approved vendor required CNA certification preferred Cerner and/or EPIC experience must be noted in employment history if applicable Additional Information Prepare surgical cases by creating and maintaining a sterile field Retract and pass instruments, supplies, and medications to surgeons during cases Check and assemble required supplies and equipment prior to each case Review equipment inventory for assigned specialty Set up and maintain sterile field with careful attention to aseptic technique Complete instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with the RN according to established standards Clean equipment and facilities and perform housekeeping duties as needed Transport patients according to unit schedules and priorities Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will be automatically declined Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered No radius rule applies, and local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates Traveler may only be submitted to one hospital within the health system at a time
