Job Description

Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract A highly skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician is needed for an engaging contract assignment. This position offers the opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise and technical abilities alongside a dedicated surgical team in a dynamic hospital environment.
Schedule/Hours:
12-hour variable shifts (start times between 06:15-11:00) On-call duties: 12 hours on weekends and 20 hours on weekdays within each 4-week cycle, with a 30-minute response time Weekend call is additional to regularly scheduled weekend shifts Scheduled for two shifts every other weekend
Key Qualifications:
At least three years of experience as a scrub person in a hospital setting Graduation from an approved Operating Room Technician program or demonstration of technical skills through on-the-job training (licensure preferred) Scrub Tech Certification preferred BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required Strong experience in cardiac (heart) cases Proficient in orthopedic, neurological, and robotic procedures for general surgical cases
Responsibilities:
Assist surgical teams with cardiovascular and general procedures as a primary scrub tech Prepare and maintain sterile fields and surgical instruments Collaborate closely with circulating nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia team Respond promptly for on-call emergencies, adhering to the required 30-minute arrival window Adapt to a variety of surgical specialties beyond cardiac cases as needed
