Duties:

The Surgical Technician assists surgical team members by functioning as a scrub and/or circulating assistant during surgical procedures under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role requires strong knowledge of surgical techniques, aseptic practices, surgical equipment, and patient care appropriate to the age of patients served. The Surgical Technician supports efficient operating room workflow, maintains a safe environment, and assists with major and minor surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform scrub duties for surgical procedures while maintaining strict aseptic and sterile techniques and established competency standards. Assist as a circulating assistant under RN supervision during major and minor procedures and provide support to anesthesia staff as needed. Prepare the surgical room by setting up the back table, instruments, equipment, specialty carts, and supplies ; mobilize and pre-test surgical equipment. Support smooth case flow and rapid room turnover by transporting patients, assisting with room setup, cleanup, and equipment readiness . Maintain surgical suite inventories by stocking rooms and specialty carts to appropriate par levels and ensuring necessary supplies are available. Provide scrub support for orthopedic, neurosurgical, endovascular, General GYN, GU, and other surgical procedures according to demonstrated competency. Maintain a safe, organized, and professional operating room environment while following established policies, procedures, and patient-safety standards. Participate in after-hours/on-call emergency procedures as required and perform other assigned duties. Required Skills & Experience Minimum 2 years of experience scrubbing as a Surgical Technician. Minimum 2 years of travel experience . Minimum 1 year of clinical Surgical Technician experience in a surgery center. Strong demonstrated scrub skills in orthopedic, neurosurgical, and endovascular procedures. General GYN and GU surgical scrub experience required. Ability to scrub orthopedic, neuro, and robotic/Da Vinci procedures . Epic experience required , with 6-12 months of experience within the past year. Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, sterile procedures, surgical instrumentation, and operating room workflow . Ability to assist with circulating activities under the direct supervision of an RN . Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment and support rapid room turnover. Zimmer System experience preferred. CORT credential preferred.

Pay:

$47.00 - $51.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
