Job Description

The Sr. Surgical Technologist, in addition to assisting in the preparation, processing, care, and maintenance of instruments, supplies, and equipment, functions as a member of the surgical team during operative procedures, also functions in a specialty service, and utilizes and troubleshoots service implementation and equipment. The individual must know aseptic technique and be able to scrub independently in orthopedic procedures, anticipating the needs of the surgeon, and have knowledge of the sequencing of the surgical procedures.
Required Qualifications :
Two years Orthopedic experience as a Surgical Technologist in an ambulatory setting Active American Heart Association CPR Certification High School Diploma; or equivalent experience The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations
Preferred Qualifications :
Certification as a Surgical Technologist Graduate of Surgical Technologist Training program or equivalent experience
License/Certification :
Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
