The role supports surgical teams by preparing and maintaining operating rooms and assisting during procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures Assist surgeons, nurses, and other members of the surgical team during operations Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols Pass surgical instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical staff as needed Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, needles, and other supplies Clean, disinfect, and restock operating rooms following procedures Properly handle and care for surgical instruments and equipment Follow hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards Communicate effectively with members of the surgical and healthcare teams Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate support in the
