1 Description American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist for an Ambulatory Surgery Center position requiring ophthalmology experience and a minimum of 5 years related experience. Details Ambulatory Surgery Center setting Variable start and stop shift times No weekends, holidays, or call required Ophthalmology skills required Requirements Minimum of 5 years of related experience required Minimum of 1 year of related experience or training in a clinical setting and surgical scrub experience in an ambulatory surgery facility Graduate of an approved course for OR Surgical Technologists High school diploma or GED required BLS certification required CST certification preferred License required if applicable SSN and date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Assists surgical team members during operative procedures, including preparing sterile set-ups and passing instruments Prepares surgical suite, supplies, and equipment to meet safety and infection control standards Performs surgical scrub duties for pre-operative patient care Assists RN with patient preparation, transfers, and counting procedures Participates in time-out processes and identifies unsafe conditions Assists with room turnover, cleanup, patient transport, and positioning Maintains and orders inventory based on scheduled procedures and stock levels Provides new employee orientation and training support as needed
