Days The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Parker 9395 Crown Crest Blvd, Parker, CO 80138 The role you'll contribute: The surgical technologist actively participates in the preparation and management of supply inventories, surgical equipment, operating room suite readiness and clinical/technical assistance as directed while performing operative and invasive procedures. This position requires knowledge of surgical instrumentation, the ability to prepare and or assemble complex mechanical devices, sequential planning, and knowledge of fundamental anatomy, strong anticipatory skills and dexterity. This position is also responsible to keep abreast of new products, procedures and physician techniques. The value you'll bring to the team: Ensures operating room is sterile Conducts field preparation and maintenance Conducts instrument counts prior to surgical procedures Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients Provides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases

Education:

• Associate in a related field [Preferred]
• Technical/Vocational School in a related field [Required]

Work Experience:

• 2+ years of technical experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support
• CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) [Required] OR State Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) [Required]
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred]
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Preferred]
