Duties Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing and organizing surgical instruments and supplies in accordance with hospital protocols. Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and managing surgical tools with precision. Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent healthcare-associated infections during all phases of surgery. Monitor patient vital signs and physiological responses throughout procedures to ensure safety. Operate and troubleshoot complex medical equipment used in various surgical specialties such as endoscopy, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, and orthopedic procedures. Collect data related to surgical outcomes, instrument counts, and procedural documentation for accurate medical records. Support infection prevention efforts by adhering to hospital policies on sterilization and infection control practices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesia providers, nurses, and physicians to optimize patient care before, during, and after surgery. Experience Proven experience as a Surgical Scrub Technician or in a similar role within hospital or ambulatory surgery center settings. Demonstrated expertise in handling surgical instruments, medical equipment sterilization, and aseptic techniques. Hands-on experience assisting in diverse surgical procedures. Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and critical care principles. Experience working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Ability to perform data collection accurately and analyze procedural information effectively. Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
