Gross Weekly DOE Overview:

The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the operating room by assisting surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures. This role involves preparing and maintaining the sterile field, assisting with surgical instruments, and ensuring that all necessary supplies and equipment are available and functioning. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail, excellent teamwork skills, and a strong commitment to patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing the operating room by setting up sterile drapes, instruments, and equipment. Verify and obtain necessary surgical supplies and ensure all items are sterile. Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery. Maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure. Assist surgeons and surgical team members by passing instruments and supplies. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team to ensure smooth procedure flow. Monitor and handle surgical specimens as required. Assist with the application of dressings and post-operative procedures. Assist with the cleanup of the operating room and the disposal of contaminated materials. Ensure that all instruments and equipment are accounted for and properly cleaned. Prepare the operating room for the next procedure.

Requirements:

Pediatric Surgical Tech experience

• Required CST
• Required DORA (Colorado)
• Required BLS
• Required General, Urology, Orthopedics, ENT, Spine, Neuro, Endoscopy Trauma experience: Preferred Interested?
