Job Description

Sterilization & Clinical Support Job Overview Grand Junction Periodontics & Dental Implants is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Sterile Technician to join our specialty periodontal and dental implant practice. This position plays a critical role in keeping our practice running efficiently by ensuring all surgical instruments, treatment rooms, and clinical supplies are prepared to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. If you enjoy staying organized, working behind the scenes to support patient care, and want to begin a rewarding career in dentistry, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do Clean, disinfect, inspect, package, and sterilize dental and surgical instruments following OSHA, CDC, and infection control guidelines. Prepare surgical instrument trays for periodontal surgeries, dental implant procedures, and specialty treatments for hygiene. Maintain sterilization records and ensure sterilization equipment is operating properly. Stock treatment rooms and maintain clinical inventory. Turn over operatories efficiently between patients. Organize surgical supplies and maintain a clean, orderly sterilization area. Assist the clinical team with room preparation and non-chairside support. Monitor inventory levels and notify management of supply needs. Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and infection prevention protocols. Help maintain a positive, efficient, and patient-focused work environment. Qualifications Preferred, but not required: Experience in a dental, medical, or healthcare setting Sterilization or instrument processing experience Knowledge of infection prevention and OSHA standards CPR/BLS Certification What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail Excellent organizational skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to remain on your feet throughout the workday and lift up to 30 pounds Career Growth We believe in promoting from within whenever possible.
