As a Surgical Tech/Scrub Tech you will: + Work under the supervision of the surgeon and RN. + Assist surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical cases and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed. + Assist in preparing and moving patients and sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment and rooms.

• Previous OR experience with Ortho/ Sports Medicine cases required
• One Year of OR Experience Required
• Day to Day duties: + Scrub on all cases.

+ Surgical Cases include; Orthopedic, Total joint replacements (Hips, Shoulder, Knees Ankles etc.), Ortho Spine and Sports Medicine. + Giving breaks and/or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations. + Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next day's cases. + Maintaining sterile field during procedures. + Handing instruments to surgeons, anticipating surgeon's needs. + Maintaining and updating preference cards. OR Suites-8 OR Suites, 11 Pre-Op Beds, 10 PACU Bays, 48 Inpatient Beds Approx.450-550+ cases per month

Like a Surgery center. No weekends no nights. No Call!!_

• Schedule- PRN- Variable days of week and start times per Surgical Volume and Current Unit needs. TBD with OR manager during interviews. Per policy PRN requires a Min availability for 5 shifts in a 6 week schedule block and 2 holiday per year M-F. No Call, No Nights, No Weekends. Schedule is made every 6 weeks by the manager
• Job Requirements
• In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: + Basic Computer skills required.

+ One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred. + Experience in a specialty field preferred. + HS Diploma/GED required + Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program required + BLS from the American Heart Association required + Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado.

• A person performing Surgical Tech functions within the scope of another Colorado license, certification, or registration does not need to register as a Surgical Tech required + Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly) Where You'll Work OrthoColorado Hospital is Colorado's only orthopedic specialty hospital and is designed specifically for the orthopedic patient.
