Minimum 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience.

Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or applicable Surgical Technologist training. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the Operating Room team in Vail, Colorado . The Surgical Technologist supports the surgical team by maintaining a sterile field, preparing instruments and equipment, and assisting during surgical procedures. This role works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and collaborates with surgeons, nurses, and other perioperative staff to provide safe, high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Maintain sterile and aseptic technique throughout surgical procedures. Prepare, organize, and provide surgical instruments and supplies to the surgical team. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, surgical procedures, instrumentation, and equipment. Follow applicable AORN standards and patient safety practices. Inspect sterile supplies and instruments for proper packaging, processing, integrity, indicators, and expiration dates. Monitor the sterile field and promptly identify and report potential contamination or safety concerns. Maintain competency in assigned surgical cases, including Tier 1 procedures. Participate in surgical Time Out procedures, briefings, and debriefings. Assist with patient transport, operating room preparation, room turnover, and equipment setup. Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization. Maintain professional communication, teamwork, and patient confidentiality. Stay current with new surgical technologies, procedures, instrumentation, and equipment. Follow HIPAA requirements and contribute to a culture of safety and accountability. Physical Requirements This position requires standing and walking for extended periods in a fast-paced operating room environment. Candidates should be able to safely perform duties involving lifting, bending, squatting, twisting, and handling surgical equipment and supplies. Healthcare environments may include exposure to radiation, biological hazards, chemicals, heat, noise, dust, and workplace stress. Appropriate safety procedures and protective measures are provided.
