Duties:
Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for various surgical procedures, ensuring all tools are properly sterilized and organized. Assist surgeons by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies efficiently during surgeries while maintaining a sterile field. Monitor patient vital signs and physiological responses throughout procedures, providing critical data to the surgical team. Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms, documenting all procedural details meticulously. Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques rigorously to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety. Support patient care activities pre- and post-operation, including patient positioning, skin preparation, and recovery assistance.
Qualifications:
Active CST certification At least 2 years of hands on Certified Surgical Technologist experience At least one year of experience in orthopedics is required Ambulatory Surgery Center experience is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to perform data collection related to patient vitals, surgical supplies usage, and procedural documentation accurately. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or other hospital information systems for managing medical records efficiently. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, infection control practices, and sterile techniques essential for maintaining a safe surgical environment.
Pay:
$38.00 - $50.00 per hour
