Welder/Fabricator Advanced Truck Hartford, CT Job Details Full-time $26.58 - $40.01 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Flexible schedule Referral program Qualifications Equipment repair Mechanical fabrication Electrical work Hydraulics Gas metal arc welding Full Job Description Welder / Fabricator - Medium-Duty Box Trucks We are a truck dealership looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our team. This position focuses primarily on medium-duty box trucks and commercial vehicles . What You'll Do Weld and fabricate components for medium-duty box trucks Repair and modify truck bodies, frames, floors, bumpers, brackets, and related components Install and repair liftgates, ramps, steps, shelving, and other truck equipment Perform MIG welding and general metal fabrication Cut, grind, drill, measure, fit, and assemble steel and aluminum components Reinforce or repair damaged truck-body components Complete custom modifications based on customer and dealership needs Inspect completed work for strength, fit, and quality Work independently while keeping jobs moving efficiently What We're Looking For Previous welding and metal fabrication experience MIG welding experience required Experience working on box trucks, commercial trucks, trailers, truck bodies, or similar equipment strongly preferred Ability to fabricate from measurements and existing components Comfortable using grinders, saws, drills, torches, and standard fabrication equipment Strong mechanical ability and problem-solving skills Able to produce clean, structurally sound welds Reliable, organized, and able to complete jobs without constant supervision Experience That Is a Plus Box truck or truck-body repair Liftgate installation and repair Trailer fabrication Aluminum welding Commercial vehicle upfitting Body and frame repair Electrical or hydraulic experience Position Full-Time Welder / Fabricator This is a hands-on position for someone who knows how to fabricate, solve problems, and get commercial trucks back on the road.
