General Statement of Duties:
The Certified Surgical Technician will be responsible for a variety of technical and routine tasks to facilitate the care of the patient. This position delivers care in a prompt and professional manner, always maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and respect. The Technician works as part of the care team to meet the needs of the customer and to support departmental objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares for the pre-assigned cases using physician preference. Setting up the operating room before surgery. Opens supplies/instruments utilizing aseptic technique. Passes instruments to surgeons during surgery. Follows established policies and procedures as it relates to counting of sponges, instruments etc. Initiates corrective action when counts are incorrect. Anticipates the needs of the surgical team and communicates effectively with the team to ensure quality of patient care. Perform any other duties assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess 1-year surgical scrub experience (Preferred) Experience with Endoscopy is desired but not required Must be self-starter who works well independently Time management and prioritizing skills are a must Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organization with attention to detail Good attitude, professionalism, promote team structure
Education and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology. (required) Must have surgical technician certification.

$36.00 - $42.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
