Major Responsibilities Measure vital signs like height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, respirations, and heart rate Have the patient prepped and ready in the exam room Document current medications, medical or surgical history and primary care physician information for nurse to have during the noting process Listen to patient regarding any health concerns they might have and report details to a Registered Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant Clean rooms between patients Collect urine samples Assist with set up for sterile procedures Package dirty surgical utensils used in procedures to be cleaned Prepare a patient for an EKG test Stock supplies in supply room and patient exam rooms Help answer the call light if provider needs assistance Review and prepare paperwork needing a Medical Doctors approval and signature Review mail. Transport patients as needed. Minimum Job Requirements Education HS diploma/GED and completion of the 8 week back office tech program at Georgia Northwestern Technical College.
