HCA Healthcare is seeking a Surgical Technologist Cert to support our surgical teams in delivering safe, high-quality patient care. In this role, you will prepare operating rooms, arrange and verify sterile instruments and supplies, and assist surgeons and RNs during procedures. You will maintain strict aseptic technique, perform accurate counts, and handle specimens per protocol. You'll collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing staff while supporting our culture of compassion, integrity, and continuous learning in a fast-paced OR environment. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms and ensure all instruments and supplies are available and sterile Set up and maintain sterile fields and equipment according to aseptic standards Assist surgeons and RNs during procedures, anticipating needs and passing instruments Perform instrument, sponge, and sharps counts before, during, and after surgery Handle and label specimens accurately following hospital protocols Operate and care for surgical equipment and tools safely and effectively Support infection control and patient safety standards at all times Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing teams for efficient case flow Document required intraoperative information in the electronic medical record Participate in ongoing training, competency checks, and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Surgical instrumentation Sterile field setup Aseptic technique OR equipment operation Surgical case preparation Intraoperative assistance Specimen handling Instrument counts Infection control Electronic medical records (EMR)
