Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with hands-on experience in plastic and cosmetic surgery to join our dynamic surgical team. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly before procedures begin. Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and managing surgical supplies with precision and efficiency. Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety. Monitor vital signs, assess patient physiology, and support patient care throughout the perioperative process in collaboration with nursing staff. Collect and document data related to surgical procedures, patient responses, and equipment usage in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Patient Now or other medical records platforms. Demonstrate proficiency in anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and analysis skills to anticipate surgical needs effectively. Ensure compliance with infection control standards and maintain a sterile environment during all procedures. Assist with post-operative activities including wound dressing changes, specimen handling, and cleanup of the operating room. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across hospital medicine, critical care units, ambulatory surgery centers, and other departments to optimize patient outcomes. Experience Proven OR experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with a strong background in medical-surgical, emergency medicine, or trauma surgery environments. Previous experience in plastic surgery (cosmetic and/or reconstructive) Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures specific to plastic surgery is highly preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Patient Now or other Electronic Health Record platforms used for documentation of medical records and surgical data collection. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, vital signs monitoring, suturing techniques, and aseptic procedures essential for safe surgical practice.
