A Surgical Technician or Technologist assists with surgical operations. Prepares the operating room and equipment before a procedure, and helps surgeons and nurses during the procedure. Works in hospitals or other healthcare facilities.

Work Schedule:
Hours vary and may include day, evening and weekend responsibilities. Courses are taught in a classroom setting and may include a lab component. Please indicate your availability in your cover letter.

$1,109 The offer will be based on education and experience, in alignment with the College's compensation philosophy and the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), if applicable.
Adjunct teaching faculty provide instruction aligned with the college's strategic goals and evaluate students' progress to facilitate achievement of their educational goals.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Certified surgical technologist; 2 years experience either in an operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past 5 years.
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Sterile processing and distribution experience.
Essential Duties:
Deliver Instruction 1. Conduct assigned classes, labs and/or clinicals. 2. Prepare lessons 3. Provide course syllabus (which shall include grading standards, attendance policies, classroom behavioral expectations, course outline and contact information) 4. Verify student enrollment and submit grade sheets If a lab is involved: 5. Prepare labs 6. Enforce lab safety procedures Evaluate Student Progress 1. Keep accurate record of student performance 2. Provide students with timely feedback Provide Student Assistance 1. Maintain office hours and voice-mail/e-mail communication 2. Refer students to student support services 3.
