Discussed during interview Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the Operating Room team in Peoria, Illinois . The ideal candidate will have strong hospital surgical experience, be comfortable scrubbing a variety of cases, and have hands-on experience with Da Vinci robotic procedures . This position requires a minimum of 2 years of hospital surgical experience . New graduates will not be considered. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of hospital surgical experience Candidates with 1.5+ years of Level I Trauma experience may be considered. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program Hands-on clinical experience required BLS certification NBSTSA certification preferred/required per facility requirements Strong experience in: General Surgery Urology Gynecology ENT Da Vinci robotic surgery experience required Must be fully independent with the Da Vinci robot or demonstrate the ability to work independently after orientation. Scrubbing experience is required. Important Shift Requirement Mids, evenings, and night-shift Surgical Technologists must have Level I Trauma experience. Common Surgical Cases The OR handles approximately 20-40 general surgery cases per day , including: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy Laparoscopic colon procedures Laparoscopic appendectomy Cystoscopy Da Vinci robotic procedures Hysterectomy Vascular procedures ENT procedures Urology procedures Key Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment for procedures. Scrub and assist during surgical procedures while maintaining sterile technique. Anticipate the needs of surgeons and the surgical team. Handle surgical instruments and supplies appropriately throughout procedures. Support Da Vinci robotic surgical procedures. Maintain accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies. Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and sterile processing standards. Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures. Collaborate effectively with surgeons, RNs, anesthesia staff, and other OR personnel. Maintain a safe and organized surgical environment. Float to other surgical teams or the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) when qualified and required.

Schedule & Call Requirements Weekend:

Every third weekend, consisting of a full weekend assignment. Weekend shifts include an assigned call rotation.

Holiday:

Participation in holiday/call rotation required.

Call Response Time:

30 minutes Charge staff are available to assist with cases on each shift. Has the candidate graduated from a Surgical Technologist program with hands-on clinical experience ? Does the candidate have experience in general surgery, urology, gynecology, and ENT ? Can the candidate independently scrub Da Vinci robotic cases ? If applying for a mid/evening/night shift , does the candidate have Level I Trauma experience ? Is the candidate comfortable with every-third-weekend and call rotation ? Is the candidate able to meet the 30-minute call response requirement ? Has the candidate applied directly with OSF within the last 2 years? Candidates who have applied directly with OSF within the previous 2 years cannot be submitted.

Compensation Base Pay:

$27.26-$38.48/hour

Weekend Differential:
