You'll assist with patient positioning, room setup, equipment preparation, supply management, and provide compassionate care, including support for patients nearing the end of life. Your attention to detail and steady presence help ensure safe, efficient, high‑quality surgical care. What You'll Gain Working in Surgery gives you hands‑on experience with a wide range of procedures — including cardiovascular, orthopedic, neurological, endovascular, urological, colorectal, vascular, bariatric, robotic, laser, and general surgeries, as well as Level II trauma care. You'll strengthen skills in sterile technique, equipment handling, patient preparation, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team. What You'll Do Airway equipment support Perform clipper preps as appropriate Assists with intraoperative skin prep Blood glucose testing This role includes exposure to bodily fluids and sensitive patient situations Safely lift/move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation About Surgery The Surgery Department operates 14 surgical suites and provides a wide range of services as well as Level II trauma care. It's a highly specialized, fast‑paced environment where teamwork, communication, and technical skill support safe, high‑quality surgical outcomes. Requirements Basic Life Support (BLS) within six months of hire High school diploma or GED preferred Completion of required PCT training as assigned
