Position Overview Facility is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join its Surgical Services team. The Surgical Technologist will support surgeons, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team throughout surgical procedures, with a primary focus on surgical instrumentation, equipment preparation, sterile technique, and intraoperative support . The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience and experience working across multiple surgical specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, OB/GYN, ophthalmology/eyes, and urology . Key Responsibilities Assist the surgical team in providing safe and effective patient care during the intraoperative period. Prepare, organize, handle, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment. Set up the operating room and ensure necessary supplies and instrumentation are available for procedures. Maintain strict aseptic and sterile technique throughout surgical procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during procedures. Perform accurate sponge, sharps, and instrument counts according to hospital policy and procedure. Assist with the safe handling and application of surgical equipment. Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures and specialty-specific instrumentation. Respond appropriately and promptly during urgent or emergency surgical situations. Follow professional standards of practice, hospital policies, and infection-control procedures. Apply knowledge of medical terminology and the metric system in daily surgical practice. Provide care and support appropriate to patients ranging from neonates through geriatric populations . Effectively prioritize, plan, and problem-solve in a fast-paced surgical environment. Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia staff, and other members of the healthcare team. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience. High School Diploma or GED. Current BLS certification . Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification . Strong knowledge of aseptic/sterile technique. Demonstrated experience with surgical instrumentation and equipment. Experience performing sponge, sharps, and instrument counts. Required Specialty Experience Candidates should have experience with several of the following surgical specialties: Orthopedics / Total Joints General Surgery OB/GYN Ophthalmology / Eye Surgery Urology Skills & Competencies Aseptic and sterile technique Surgical instrumentation Surgical equipment preparation and handling Intraoperative surgical support Surgical counts Knowledge of specialty-specific procedures Medical terminology Metric system Critical thinking and problem-solving Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment Ability to respond effectively during urgent/emergency situations Strong teamwork and communication skills Attention to detail and patient safety Schedule & Call Requirements 4 days per week 10-hour shifts 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM Approximately 40 hours/week Call requirement: approximately 7 days per 6-week period Some call shifts may include weekends Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a CST with 2+ years of hands-on operating room experience who is comfortable working across multiple specialties and can confidently maintain sterile technique, manage instrumentation, perform surgical counts, and anticipate the needs of the surgical team. Experience with orthopedic total joints, general surgery, OB/GYN, eyes, and urology is particularly important for this assignment.

Pay:
