As part of our dynamic surgical team, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Surgical Scrub Technician to join us in providing top- notch surgical care to our patients. We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Surgical Scrub Technician to support our surgical team in preparing for and during surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the operating room is properly equipped, instruments are sterile and ready for use, and surgical procedures are conducted smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities:

 Prepare and organize the operating room for surgical procedures, including setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.  Scrub into surgical procedures and assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals as needed during the surgery.  Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.  Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide assistance and support during procedures.  Handle and care for surgical instruments and equipment properly, including cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining them according to established protocols.  Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure efficient and effective workflow in the operating room.  Participate in pre-operative and post-operative activities, such as patient positioning, wound dressing, and transferring patients to recovery areas.  Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures, instrument counts, and other relevant information.  Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and healthcare team members.  Participate in chart preparation for all upcoming surgeries and procedures.  Ability to cross-train in instrument decontamination and sterilization duties.

Qualifications:

 High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent training preferred.  Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Surgical Scrub Technician preferred, not required.  Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Surgical Scrub Technician in a hospital or surgical center setting (Preferred).  Proficiency in surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and operating room procedures.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other members of the surgical team.  Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.  Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety, confidentiality, and professionalism.  Ability to work early mornings required.
