Position Overview Facility is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support the Surgical Services team. The Surgical Technologist assists surgeons, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team throughout the intraoperative period , with a primary focus on surgical instrumentation, equipment preparation, sterile technique, and supporting the surgical team during procedures. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across multiple surgical specialties, able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced OR environment, and capable of responding appropriately to urgent and emergency situations. Key Responsibilities Prepare, handle, organize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment. Assist the surgical team during operative procedures. Maintain strict aseptic and sterile technique throughout surgical procedures. Perform accurate sponge, sharp, and instrument counts according to hospital policies and procedures. Ensure surgical instruments and equipment are properly prepared and available when needed. Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures and specialty-specific instrumentation. Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other members of the surgical team. Prioritize tasks effectively in a changing surgical environment. Recognize the need for immediate intervention during urgent or emergency situations. Apply knowledge of medical terminology and the metric system in daily practice. Provide appropriate care and equipment support based on the patient's age and needs, from neonates through geriatric patients . Follow professional standards of practice and established hospital policies. Maintain a safe environment for patients and the surgical team. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Experience 2+ years of Surgical Technologist experience required. Strong operating room experience with multiple surgical specialties. Education High School Diploma or GED required. Certifications CST

The candidate should be comfortable working independently, anticipating surgical team needs, maintaining strict sterile technique, and adapting quickly to changing intraoperative situations.

Pay:

$25.00
