1 Description American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with 2+ years of experience across multiple surgical specialties for a hospital surgical services position. Details Hospital surgical services unit supporting a wide range of specialties Case types include hysterectomy, GYN, total joints, general, bariatric, DaVinci Robot, ENT, thoracics, neuro spine, and plastics Cares for patients across the lifespan from neonate through geriatric Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with no weekends Call requirement of up to 40 hours on a 6-week rotating schedule Requirements Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience required BLS certification required CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential required License required if applicable High school diploma or GED required Working knowledge of the metric system and medical terminology Strong prioritization, planning, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced surgical environment Additional Information Assist the surgical team during the intra-operative period, focusing on preparation and handling of instrumentation and equipment Support surgeons throughout procedures and adapt equipment use based on patient age and needs Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts according to policy and procedure Demonstrate aseptic technique to ensure positive patient outcomes Recognize and respond promptly to urgent or emergency situations during procedures Maintain adherence to professional standards of practice throughout patient and family interactions
