Job Description

The not-for-profit hospital recently celebrated 60 years of service and is Joint-Commission accredited. Iberia Medical Center’s multiple campuses are home to over 30 medical specialties provided by over 140 physicians. Iberia Medical Center is currently looking to hire a Certified Surgical Technologist (Surgical Tech), on a full time basis. The Surgical Tech assists with the nursing care of patients receiving surgical care and surgical intervention. Duties include scrubbing and other related procedures, including but not limited to: instrument setup, delivery during procedures, assisting the surgeons, instrument cleaning, processing and maintenance. Effectively interact with patient, significant others, and other heath team members. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric population.
