1 Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) / Surgical Tech to support the Operating Room at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital. The Surgical Technologist will assist surgical teams before, during, and after procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile technique, handling surgical instruments and supplies, and supporting surgeons and other members of the OR team. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures. Set up sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies. Maintain strict sterile technique throughout procedures. Assist surgeons and surgical staff during operations. Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team as needed. Perform instrument, sponge, and equipment counts according to hospital procedures. Help with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures. Maintain and handle surgical equipment appropriately. Follow hospital infection-control, safety, and surgical protocols. Work effectively in an ambulatory OR, community hospital, and general OR environment. Participate in rotational weekend call . Requirements Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) / Surgical Tech experience. 2 years of experience required.

Experience in:

Ambulatory Operating Room Community hospital General Operating Room Must have completed at least one previous travel assignment . BLS certification required. NBSTSA certification preferred. Ability to work the required November 2, 2026 start date . Must be able to work the assigned schedule and rotational weekend call. No exemptions to the stated requirements. Pay:
