Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the operating room, assisting surgeons and ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are available for surgical procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of aseptic techniques, patient care, and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments are properly sterilized and organized. Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sutures, and other necessary supplies. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient workflow and communication before, during, and after procedures. Maintain accurate medical records related to surgical procedures and patient care. Perform suture techniques as required by the specific surgical procedure. Adhere to all safety protocols and aseptic techniques to minimize infection risks. Provide support in various surgical settings including PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) and ambulatory surgery centers. Requirements Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred. Proficient in vital signs monitoring and patient care practices. Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Epic is advantageous. Experience in critical care or medical-surgical environments is a plus. Strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control measures. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
