1 Description American Traveler seeks an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist for a Level One Trauma Center Operating Room, requiring a minimum of 2 years of level 1 trauma experience and robotics competency. Details Level One Trauma Center Operating Room with 26 beds General surgery specialty with 1:1 patient ratios Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM 36 weekly guaranteed hours with 1:4 weekend rotations on 12-hour shifts On-call requirement of one overnight trauma call from 11p-7a, or per specialty team rules if assigned to a specialty team (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho) Uses Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot (da Vinci Xi and SP) equipment Epic EMR system 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed Requirements CST certification required License required if applicable Minimum 2 years of level 1 trauma experience required Competency in Robotics (da Vinci Xi and SP), Pediatrics, Burns, Trauma, Whipples, and HIPEC required Preferred experience in General, GU/GYN, Ortho trauma, ortho joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, and Endovascular procedures Epic EMR experience preferred Driver's License required for consideration 2 professional references required Additional Information Join a team specializing in general surgery procedures in a fast-paced, high-stress trauma environment Demonstrate exceptional patient care and expertise as a CST Teal scrubs issued by the hospital Flexible, accountable, timely, and team-oriented personality fit preferred Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility will be considered local Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should indicate this during consideration RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion Airpods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited on the unit
