Qualifications/Experience:
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required Previous experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT), particularly in cardiovascular or surgical environments Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic technique and instrument processing Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond appropriately in high-pressure situations Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the care and preparation of pre-operative patients Prepare and maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures Manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment efficiently Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes Support the surgical team by anticipating needs and quickly addressing them during procedures Adhere to hospital and regulatory guidelines for cleanliness, safety, and patient privacy
