A Surgical Technician or Technologist assists with surgical operations. Prepares the operating room and equipment before a procedure, and helps surgeons and nurses during the procedure. Works in hospitals or other healthcare facilities.
To assist surgical team during operative procedures by preparing sterile equipment for the operation and passing instruments, sponges and sutures to the operating team. Assist with inventory, sterilization of instruments, prepare and select equipment for procedures, transfer of patients as needed, turnover and transfer of instruments to CSPD/Decontamination and putting equipment back in place. Intermedate:
High School Diploma or GED Certification or satisfactory completion of an equivalent Surgical Technology training program, or a program pending immediate accreditation. Highly motivated and organized. Good interpersonal/team skills.
Senior Level:
High School Diploma or GED Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Minimum 3 years experience as a
