Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic surgical setting as a Certified Surgical Technologist. In this contract role, you will collaborate closely with a skilled team of nursing staff and surgeons, directly supporting perioperative and intraoperative care for patients undergoing general surgery. Your expertise will ensure every surgical procedure runs smoothly and safely for both patients and colleagues.
Schedule & Hours:
3x12 hour shifts: 7:00 am - 7:30 pm
On-call:
once per week and every 6th weekend 13-week contract, with potential for extension
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential Previous experience as a travel Surgical Technologist High school diploma or GED equivalent
Responsibilities:
Prepare and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to and during each procedure Collaborate seamlessly with registered nurses and the surgical team, anticipating needs throughout the operation Maintain an in-depth understanding of each assigned surgical procedure to facilitate efficient workflow Provide direct service support related to patient preparation, transport, and comfort Assist in maintaining a safe, sterile environment according to established practices Respond promptly to emergent situations, following appropriate protocols This is an excellent opportunity to develop your surgical skills in a well-coordinated environment, working with an experienced and supportive medical team.
