Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into an essential role where your experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist or ORT Nurse is valued in a collaborative surgical environment. This is a contract opportunity with a focus on supporting surgical teams and maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
Key Qualifications:
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or valid ORT nursing license Experience assisting in operating rooms, preparing surgical instruments, and supporting surgical procedures Strong understanding of aseptic and sterile techniques Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team Attention to detail and strong organizational skills BLS or equivalent life support certification preferred
Responsibilities:
Preparing operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and organized Assisting surgeons and nurses during operations by anticipating needs and providing supplies as required Maintaining accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and sharps throughout procedures Ensuring a safe, sterile environment and promptly addressing any breaches in technique Supporting patient safety initiatives and following facility protocols at all times Participating in routine equipment maintenance and reporting malfunctions promptly Engaging in ongoing education to stay current with surgical best practices This contract position offers a professional workplace where your technical knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to patient care can make a significant impact.
