Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Support surgical teams by expertly handling instruments and equipment during general surgical procedures in this key role located in Rochester, MI. Desired Experience:
Certified Surgical Technologist credential required Nursing background with Operating Room Training (Nursing - ORT) preferred Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, supplies, and OR equipment Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and respond to emergent situations calmly Familiarity with infection control, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols Effective communication and teamwork skills Commitment to patient confidentiality and care sensitivity Responsibilities /Duties:
Scrub in and assist during general surgical procedures Prepare operating room by setting up sterile tables, instruments, and supplies Confirm proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment; report malfunctions Maintain a clutter-free, safe, and sterile environment in the OR Support patient preparation, transport, comfort, and care in coordination with the surgical team Assist in admitting, transferring, and discharging patients from the OR alongside RNs Manage supply deliveries and aid in supply level adjustments for efficiency Participate in continuous education, audits, and departmental improvements May train and precept newSurgical Technologists Location:
