1 Description American Traveler seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist with ortho or neuro experience for a teaching hospital's Main OR unit. Details Acute care teaching hospital setting within an Adult Level II trauma center Assignment based in the Main OR, supporting CVOR, General OR, and Hybrid OR cases Adult patient population 4x10 hour day shifts scheduled 07:00-17:30 Every other weekend work required On-call requirement of 2-3 days per week, including weekdays and weekends, with potential for every other weekend on-call depending on staffing needs On-call coverage required for holidays if the contract period includes one Floats within scope to meet Main OR facility needs Uses Epic for documentation Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist Ortho or neuro surgical experience required CVOR, General OR, and Hybrid OR setting experience required BLS certification required Prior travel experience required Epic charting experience preferred Level II trauma experience preferred License required if applicable RTO must be submitted at time of consideration Additional Information Support surgical teams across a broad range of specialties including vascular, cardiovascular, neuro, orthopedic, general, and trauma cases Assist with preparation and maintenance of sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures Participate in aseptic technique, isolation precautions/PPE, radiation safety, sharps safety, and specimen handling protocols Follow Universal Protocol time-out procedures for surgical site verification Maintain familiarity with case cart and crash cart systems, electrosurgical units, and fiber optic equipment Scrubs provided Free parking available First-time travelers will not be considered for this position No local radius rule; local candidates accepted
