Job Description Essential Functions:
List major areas of responsibility and briefly what the person does in each area.
Patient Advocate:
Protects patient from potential injury; selects operative setups and supplies to maintain sterile technique during all procedures
Customer Service:
Monitors customer service through assessment and evaluation. Recommends and implements action for improving.
Management of Team:
Coaches and assists team members in preparation, use and maintenance of OR, C Section and Endoscopy supplies and equipment. Assists in the training of all new employees.
Performance competency:
Possesses a working knowledge of all equipment, contrast media, and inventory used during procedures in the OR, C Sections and Endoscopy cases. Maintains performance competency through attendance at required in-service/education program, annual review and maintains credit hours for continued certification as required.
Goals and Objectives:
Assists the Surgery Charge Nurse and Director in identifying and accomplishing departmental goals and objectives.
Cross training:
Possesses the willingness to expand knowledge to all areas of the Operating Room, and GI hall. Ability to scrub any and all procedures in the OR, C section room, and GI Hall.
Technical Competency:
Renders highest technical skills in preparing and set up (passing) of any cases preformed.
Job Knowledge:
Must be a Surgical Tech 2-5 years' experience in surgery Must be CPR certified Possess knowledge of surgical and endoscopy patients. Competent in caring for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients Requirements The following are requirements in addition to any stated in the above description.
