Qualifications & Experience:
Current certification as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Tech or Surgical Technologist with CVOR experience. At least one year of recent experience supporting cardiovascular surgical procedures. Proficient knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and cardiovascular equipment. Up-to-date BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively support high-performing surgical teams. Flexibility and enthusiasm for travel assignments in new clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cardiovascular surgical suites by ensuring all instrumentation and sterile fields are set to precise standards. Scrub and assist in a variety of cardiovascular surgeries, working closely with surgeons and nursing staff. Monitor, care for, and troubleshoot specialized cardiovascular equipment throughout procedures. Maintain accurate records and support post-operative patient care as needed. Adhere to all safety, infection control, and hospital regulations.
