Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our ophthalmic/pain surgery team. The Surgical Technologist is responsible for preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile technique, assisting surgeons during procedures, processing instruments, and ensuring all surgical equipment and supplies are available for scheduled cases. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures. Set up sterile fields, instruments, equipment, and supplies. Assist surgeons during ophthalmic procedures by passing instruments and supplies. Maintain strict sterile technique throughout all procedures. Perform instrument cleaning, decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and storage. Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and instruments. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly prior to procedures. Assist with room turnover between cases. Document sterilization records and quality control logs. Adhere to infection prevention and patient safety standards. Assist with receiving and stocking supplies as needed. Participate in quality improvement and accreditation activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
