Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient care protocols. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where precision, efficiency, and attention to detail are paramount. The Surgical Technologist will support surgeons and nursing staff by preparing operating rooms, handling surgical instruments, and ensuring adherence to infection control standards. Candidates with hospital experience, ENT preferred but not necessary, are encouraged to apply for this vital position that directly impacts patient outcomes and safety. Duties Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly prior to procedures. Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments and managing surgical supplies with precision and speed. Maintain strict aseptic techniques throughout all phases of patient care to prevent infection and ensure safety. Collect and document data related to instrument sterilization. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and hospital policies related to sterile technique and patient safety. Assist in post-operative tasks, including instrument sterilization, inventory management, and documentation records for surgical cases. Skills Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to surgical procedures. Strong understanding of aseptic technique, infection control practices, and sterile field management. Experience working in hospital environments and/or ambulatory surgery centers. Critical analysis skills for assessing vital signs and responding appropriately during acute care situations. Familiarity with hospital medicine practices, including emergency medicine protocols and trauma response procedures. Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills for seamless teamwork in high-pressure scenarios.
