Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic surgical team. In this vital role, you will assist surgeons during operative procedures by preparing the operating room, ensuring all surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and ready, and supporting the surgical team to deliver exceptional patient care. Your expertise will help facilitate smooth, efficient surgeries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and hygiene. Responsibilities Anticipates the need for equipment and supplies. Selects equipment and supplies in an organized, cost effective and timely manner. Assures all equipment is functioning before use and removes any malfunctioning equipment. Demonstrates skill in appropriate use of instruments and equipment. Count all surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies before and after surgery to prevent retained foreign objects. Operates mechanical, electrical and air-powered equipment according to manufacturer's instructions. Assures emergency equipment and supplies are available at all times. Keeps surgical suites clean, tidy, free of soiled equipment and supplies, and properly stocked. Transports patients to and from and within the facility. Support the surgical team in managing patient positioning, draping, and comfort during procedures. Assists with preoperative patient preparation and postoperative patient discharge (e.g. changing clothes, providing nourishment). Assists with OR turnover and preparation of sterile supplies (e.g. opening, case pulling). Cleans and restocks anesthesia supplies as assigned. Follow decontamination and sterilization per manufacturer instructions and facility policies and procedures. Maintains cleaning and sterilization logs per facility policy. Document all relevant surgical details accurately in patient records and assist with post-operative cleanup and sterilization processes Skills Proven knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and aseptic techniques Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with moving or positioning patients as needed Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential is preferred; additional certifications in patient safety or infection control are a plus Familiarity with medical terminology and ambulatory surgery center protocols related to surgical care Join us in delivering compassionate, high-quality surgical excellence where your skills directly impact patient health and recovery. Pay:
$31.00 - $48.00 per hour
