1 Description American Traveler seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of specialty OR experience, including recent CABG, TAVR, vascular, and thoracic cases, for a busy hospital operating room. Details Hospital-based operating room with 13 ORs plus 1 procedure/cysto room performing an average of 45 cases per day CVOR unit handles cardiothoracic cases such as CABG, AVR, MVR, mini mitral, and septal myomectomy, vascular cases including fistula creations, transcarotid revascularization, and bypasses, and thoracic cases such as VATS, robotic resections, and lobectomies Main OR caseload spans orthopedic, spine, general, breast, podiatry, urology, robotic, GYN, and plastics procedures 12-hour day shift schedule, 7A-7P, 36 hours per week with standard 40-hour weekly expectation On-call requirements include 4-5 weeknight calls and 1-2 weekend calls per 6-week schedule Weekend rotation typically limited to call coverage May be scheduled to work or be on call for holidays as part of rotation No floating requirements Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors Requirements Minimum 2 years of OR experience in specialty as an

Minimum 12 months of core work experience in the unit specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year Must have completed an accredited Surgical Technologist education program prior to start BLS certification required National certification preferred Strong and recent experience with CABG, TAVR, vascular, and thoracic cases required for CVOR role Experience scrubbing cases across orthopedic, cardiothoracic, vascular, general, urology, robotic, GYN, colon, breast, spine, podiatry, and plastics specialties Epic EMR experience At least 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration License required if applicable Additional Information Facility features 337 licensed beds with Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center designations, no trauma designation, and is not a teaching hospital Department support includes 6 OR assistants for room turnovers, stocking, and patient positioning, plus receptionist/HUC, charge nurse, and 24/7 anesthesia/CRNA coverage Orientation consists of five 8-hour shifts, with 1 week for Main OR and 2 weeks for CVOR Scrubs are provided and free parking is available First-time travelers will be considered for this position Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel assignment Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
