Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Deliver exceptional care and technical expertise by supporting cardiovascular surgical teams as a CVOR Tech. This contract opportunity provides the chance to collaborate with skilled nursing and surgical professionals in a fast-paced, meaningful environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) technology Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR experience in a hospital or acute-care facility Proficient knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain composure in urgent clinical situations Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare the cardiovascular operating room by ensuring instrumentation and equipment are sterile and fully stocked Assist surgeons and nursing staff during cardiovascular surgical procedures, anticipating needs and providing necessary tools and equipment Maintain strict adherence to safety, infection control, and aseptic technique protocols Monitor and document equipment performance, ensuring effective troubleshooting and communication of any issues Facilitate timely turnover of CVOR rooms between procedures Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance quality of care and patient experience
