• ORT Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a skilled and certified Surgical Technician (ORT) to support operating room teams within a dynamic healthcare environment.

This contract position centers on providing expert assistance during surgical procedures, ensuring sterile technique, and collaborating closely with the surgical team.

Schedule and Shift Details:

12-hour day shifts: 7:00 AM

• 7:00 PM, totaling 36 hours per week On-call requirements include 3-4 weeknight calls during each 6-week period (7 PM
• 7 AM) 1-2 weekend on-call shifts per 6-week schedule (either Saturday or Sunday, 7 AM
• 7 PM or 7 PM
• 7 AM) No set weekend rotation other than on-call Holiday coverage handled via call rotation No floating requirements

Qualifications:

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or accomplished Operating Room Technician (ORT) Active, unrestricted credentialing Strong understanding of sterile techniques, surgical supplies, and equipment handling Previous experience in operating room settings preferred Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage call requirements, including holidays, evenings, and weekends as assigned

Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile fields before procedures Anticipate the needs of surgeons and surgical team members during cases Maintain strict adherence to aseptic and infection-control protocols Assist with patient positioning and surgical site preparation Accurately account for sponges, instruments, and sharps Participate in the on-call rotation, responding promptly to emergent surgical needs This contract opportunity offers the chance to work within a dedicated surgical team, contributing to exceptional patient care in the operating room.
