Qualifications and Skills:
Current certification and registration as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent qualification as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) Proven experience assisting surgeons and operating room staff during surgical procedures Knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical instruments, and sterile field maintenance Strong communication and organizational abilities Great attention to detail and the capacity to work efficiently under pressure Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to varying surgical specialties
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for surgeries and ensure all necessary equipment is sterile and functional Assist surgical staff before, during, and after procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal workflow Maintain strict adherence to infection control practices and surgical protocols Manage surgical instruments, supplies, and specimens with accuracy Document procedures and follow facility policies for patient care and safety Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff to support surgical efficiency
