1 Description American Traveler seeks an Orthopedic Surgical Technologist with casting experience for an outpatient orthopedic clinic position on a day shift schedule. Details Outpatient orthopedic clinic setting Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM No weekend or on-call requirements Epic charting system experience preferred Bi-weekly orientation schedule Requirements Minimum of 2 years of orthopedic technologist experience required Casting experience required BLS certification required Ortho Tech Certification preferred Compact or North Carolina license required in hand at time of consideration, if applicable Skilled in application and removal of casts, splints, and cast saw techniques Experience fitting crutches and canes Proficient in sterile dressing techniques and suture removal Experience with short arm, short leg, and thumb spica splinting and casting Additional Information Perform casting and splinting procedures including application, removal, trimming, and windowing Fit patients with crutches and canes as needed Perform sterile dressing changes and suture removal Flu vaccination required during flu season with no exemptions First-time travelers will be considered for this position Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius Maximum of 5-7 days of requested time off during the contract
