We are currently seeking a skilled and team-oriented Surgical Technologist (ST) to join our clinical team. This position is ideal for a Surgical Technologist who is passionate about patient safety, enjoys working in a fast-paced surgical setting, and is committed to supporting outstanding surgical outcomes. Position Summary The Surgical Technologist functions as an integral member of the surgical team by assisting surgeons, registered nurses, and anesthesia providers before, during, and after surgical procedures. Responsibilities include preparing operating rooms, maintaining sterile technique, anticipating surgical team needs, handling surgical instruments and supplies, and ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and organize operating rooms for surgical procedures. Ensure proper sterilization and availability of surgical instruments and equipment. Establish and maintain sterile fields throughout surgical procedures. Assist surgeons by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgery. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team. Perform surgical counts in collaboration with the circulating nurse. Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery. Maintain compliance with infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards. Inspect instruments and equipment to ensure proper functionality. Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures. Accurately document required information related to surgical procedures. Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Support teamwork and positive communication within the surgical department. Qualifications Required Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred, if applicable under state regulations. Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. Minimum of one year of surgical scrub experience in a hospital, ambulatory surgery center, or surgical setting. Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation. Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills. Preferred Previous ambulatory surgery center experience. Experience with ENT surgical procedures. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR). CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential.
