Where You'll Work CHI Health Immanuel, located in North Omaha just off of I-680 on 72nd Street, offers a full-service hospital, cancer center, rehabilitation center, specialty spine hospital and more. Job Summary and Responsibilities CHI Health Immanuel is offering on-the-job training for the Surgical Technologist role. Candidates who have completed certification as a CNA, Medical Assistant, LPN, EMT I/II, or Sterile Processing Tech are eligible to apply. Prepares the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring the equipment is functioning properly and safely Prepares the operating room and the sterile field for surgical procedures by preparing sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment using sterile technique Demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy and pathophysiology and how it relates to the patient and surgical procedure Anticipates usual and unexpected events during the surgical procedure and responds in an efficient manner Handles and processes surgical specimens according to established policy/procedure Serves as a preceptor in training and orientation of fellow staff members and students responds in an efficient manner. Adheres to aseptic practices providing and maintaining a safe environment. Job Requirements Completion of anaccredited medical personnel program such as but not limited to CNA, Medical Assistant, LPN, EMT I / II, or SPD tech who are willing to do on the job training with a structured competency regimen or completion of an on -the- job training program with 5 years minimum experience Basic Life Support (BLS) required #hellosurgicaltechs
