Job Description
Participates as a learner in the D-H Surgical Technologist Training Program. During this 11-month, full-time training program, Trainees will attend didactic and clinical classes and labs in order to learn how to prepare for surgery, set up surgical instruments and equipment, assist in surgery and maintain surgical suites. Trainees will operate under the guidance and instruction of the Program Faculty and Certified staff members. Learns to perform tasks of a surgical technologist while preparing for the national certification exam. The Surgical Technologist Trainee is a temporary role for those actively enrolled in the D-H WRI program. Upon successful completion trainees transition to apprentices.
