Job Description

Are you a passionate Surgical Technologist looking to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals? Eastwick College's Ramsey campus is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Surgical Technology Instructor to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to share your clinical expertise, mentor aspiring surgical technologists, and make a meaningful impact on student success. We are looking for an educator who is committed to excellence in teaching and passionate about preparing students for rewarding careers in the operating room. Part time; Full time; Hourly rate determined by qualifications and relevant experience Position Overview The Surgical Technology Instructor will teach theory and/or laboratory courses during daytime, evening, and occasional Saturday schedules. The ideal candidate will create a dynamic learning environment that promotes student engagement, critical thinking, and professional growth while ensuring compliance with the latest educational standards and program requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging, interactive classroom and laboratory instruction in accordance with the 7th Edition Core Curriculum and program-specific guidelines. Create and implement effective teaching strategies and instructional methodologies that support diverse learning styles. Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, evaluations, and student progress. Mentor and support students in achieving their academic and professional goals. Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional learning environment. Stay current with advancements in surgical technology and incorporate industry best practices into instruction. Ensure compliance with standards established by AST, ARC/STSA, NBSTSA, and CAAHEP. Qualifications Required Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) Bachelor's degree Minimum of four (4) years of experience in surgical technology and/or education Knowledge of the 7th Edition Core Curriculum Familiarity with standards and guidelines established by: Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (ARC/STSA) National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) Preferred Previous teaching or instructional experience in a Surgical Technology program Bachelor's degree in a related healthcare field Work Location In Person - Ramsey, New Jersey Join Our Team If you are committed to excellence in surgical technology and enjoy mentoring future healthcare professionals, we encourage you to apply.
