Job Description

Scrub Tech Location:
IHS Facility in Shiprock, NM 87420
Shift:
Monday Friday | 7:00 AM 3:30 PM 8 10 hour shifts based on patient needs On-call, callback, evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned Approximately 4 on-call shifts per month Must be able to respond within 15 minutes when on call
Contract Length:
6 months (option to extend)

Hourly Rate:
$53 Travel weekly stipends: $1,246 Please keep in mind that payroll is processed on a biweekly basis.

5 days after 6 months, an additional 5 days at 1 year of service Accrued sick days: 1 hour for every 36 hours worked 11

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Scrub Technician to support surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment. The ideal candidate will maintain a sterile field, anticipate the needs of the surgical team, and ensure instruments and supplies are prepared and available throughout each procedure.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures Experience with surgical instruments, counts, specimen handling, and room setup Ability to meet IHS credentialing and background requirements
Responsibilities:
Perform scrub duties for scheduled and add-on surgical procedures Prepare and maintain the sterile field, instruments, supplies, and equipment Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies to the surgical team during procedures Perform surgical counts and assist with specimen handling and labeling Maintain strict sterile technique and follow surgical safety and infection control protocols Support procedures including general surgery, OB/GYN, dental, endoscopy, podiatry, and minor oral/facial procedures Assist with endoscopy room setup, procedures, and room turnover Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient operating room environment
Pay:
$53.00 per hour
